Scottish Churches Housing Action unites the churches in Scotland.
To be effective in tackling homelessness, we need support from individuals and groups throughout Scotland. You can help.

Find out more about homelessness in Scotland. Is it just a problem in the cities? Isn’t it someone’s own fault if they are homeless? Isn’t it too big a problem for the Churches to tackle? Are refugees crowding out Scotland’s own homeless people? Invite a speaker from Scottish Housing Action to talk to your Guild, St Vincent de Paul group, Churches Together group, or whoever, to find out about homelessness in Scotland and what the Churches are doing about it. click here to email

Join the Friends of the Scottish Churches Housing Action Through the Friends network, Scottish Churches Housing Action keeps people in touch with what the Churches are doing in homelessness throughout the country. We keep you up to date with the latest moves by the Scottish Executive. We invite you to meet others with the same interests at conferences and gatherings. Membership is free – join now!

Meeting room available for hire:

If you are looking to hold a meeting or training event in central Edinburgh then look no further than our Torridon Room, which is available for hire, light lunches also available. This room is named to honour the late Maxwell Craig who was our Chairman from 2002 until 2006. He was a keen walker and the Torridon Hills were his and his family’s favourite. Details of room.

Raise funds for Scottish Housing Action in our Cup of tea day. We would like to invite all churches to take part in our cup of tea day during poverty and homelessness action week Saturday 30 January to Sunday 7 February 2010 if you can't do this day then please consider holding your own 'cup of tea' day on our behalf. download your flyer here

Remember Homelessness Sunday – next year on Sunday 31 January 2010 The Scottish Churches Housing Action promotes Homelessness Sunday in Scotland. This is the annual opportunity to remember homeless people in our worship, and to re-dedicate ourselves to working for justice in housing and homelessness. Resource materials are published each year in partnership with Housing Justice to give ideas on making a lively and relevant service.
