The Church of Scotland Guild has announced support for six projects over the next three years – including Scottish Churches Housing Action’s Julius Project.
At the Guild’s national launch in Edinburgh on 26 April 2012, Alastair Cameron, Chief Executive, outlined plans to develop new befriending schemes, and young people from the Blue Triangle Housing Association in Kilmarnock said how befriending had changed their lives.
The Guild’s theme is ‘whose we are and whom we seek to serve’. Fiona Punton, Information Officer for the Guild, comments: “The Julius Project once again reflects the concern that the Guild has for the injustice that is homelessness - as part of the new set of six projects the Guild members will be supporting.”
Churches Housing Chairman, Joe Cassidy adds, “The Guild has a wonderful network right across the whole of Scotland, and we are delighted to receive this support. We look forward to the opportunity of meeting groups all over and telling them about our work.”
