Alastair Cameron, Chief Executive of Scottish Churches Housing Action, today addressed a meeting of the Scottish Churches Social Inclusion Network.
He provided an overview of homelessness in Scotland, and stressed the importance of 2012 - the year set by the Scottish Government in which everyone applying as homeless (except those who are intentionally so) will be entitled to settled accommodation.
Alastair outlined what it means to be homeless in Scotland today, and showed how the churches already provide much of the work to tackle homelessness. He set out the steps planned by Scottish Churches Housing Action in the lead-up to the target year.
