Gathering the Threads offers training on homelessness - for voluntary organisations, council staff, churches and others. To book a programme or discuss your needs, contact Development Manager Diane Beckett.

basket of threads image Our core topics include:
  •   Understanding homelessness
  •   Preparing a sustainable funding plan
  •   Demonstrating your impact
  •   Preventing homelessness
  •   Partnership working
  • You may have other needs - talk to us. This is a bespoke service. Training is on offer for paid staff, volunteers, committee members. Each session is tailored to your needs. We encourage organisations to join together for training - there are benefits in learning alongside colleagues from other organisations. We keep costs low, and have ideas on where to find financial support for training if you need it.

    Meeting room available for hire:

If you are looking to hold a meeting or training event in central Edinburgh then look no further than our Torridon Room, which is available for hire, light lunches also available. This room is named to honour the late Maxwell Craig who was our Chairman from 2002 until 2006. He was a keen walker and the Torridon Hills were his and his family’s favourite. Details of room.
