Volunteer development

VCT Skills builds capacity in planning and operating volunteer-based services. Since 1997, we have helped establish around 25 independent projects across Scotland, including starter pack schemes, rent & deposit guarantee schemes, befriending and others.

Our strength is in short-term involvement for long-term benefit. Our team works alongside groups, helping identify gaps in local services for homeless people and work out how to fill them. We help link with other organisations, and build viable plans with sustainable funding. Once a project is under way, we leave it under local control, but remain on hand to help if we're needed.
