Scottish Election 2021

On 6th May, Scotland will go to the polls to elect a new set of MSPs to represent us for the next five years at Holyrood.

This election will play an important role in determining the direction of housing policy in Scotland for the duration of the next Parliament. Therefore, we believe that it is important that voters are informed of parties’ positions on issues relating to housing before casting their vote.

This page provides a briefing of the pledges made by each of the five major political parties in Scotland within their manifesto.

The purpose of these briefings is not to instruct you on who to vote for. Instead, it is to make you aware of party positions so that you can make an informed decision for yourself; and so that the party(s) that form the next Government can be held to account over the promises that they have made.
